Didnt have an issue there for what i recall. Wouldnt say its reliable, unless u olan to only use controller. Just moving around an inch will cause them to disconnect even for a short bit. Most the time they disconnect at random if not in direct sight of the usb. While headphones like the turtle beach ones, ehhhh not so much. But the connectivity with headphones compared to controllers are very different.Ĭontrollers are more reliable and actually function properly at all times. I know it's the adapter because through Bluetooth the controller doesn't have any issues. I just tried it today and it kept shutting down and disconnecting from the controller. Original review: The adapter does what it's supposed to do, I used it a couple of times for about 2 hours or so and it worked fine. After that the adapter started working again as it should. I removed the adapter from my PC, plugged it in again and it reinstalled the drivers. All I had to do was go into device manager, network adapters and then uninstalled the driver for the adapter, which I believe it was Microsoft Wireless Adapter or something like that.
Update: Bumped to 4 stars.Ī day after I posted the review I got the adapter to work again. Gets pretty warm if left in the USB port.
When it works, it works with no noticeable lag, but I wouldn't recommend this product because of how unreliable it is. We even tried removing possible sources of interference like phones with Bluetooth on, etc from the vicinity of the controller and the adapter, and the issue persisted. I've tried with a USB extensions placing the adapter at different places on the desk with little to no success, it will always disconnect at one point. However, it keeps disconnecting no matter how close we get the adapter near the controller. I've played for several hours straight without experiencing a single disconnection event previously I would have already experience a dozen or more, so I'm quite happy with how it's working now.
